Term adult lateral horn PV5a1 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00049407 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult lateral horn output neuron of the PV5a1 group that fasciculates with the PV5 primary neurite tract (Frechter et al., 2019; Dolan et al., 2019) There are approximately 7-11 of these neurons per hemisphere and they are cholinergic (Dolan et al., 2019; Bates et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2021). Comment Bates et al. (2020) list one cell as belonging to DL2 lateral hemilineage, but all considered dorsal in Schlegel et al. (2021). Cell type found in both hemibrain and FAFB (Schlegel et al., 2021).
