adult lateral horn-fan-shaped body layer 2 neuron |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00049419 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Adult lateral horn output neuron that has wide-field (tangential) presynaptic arborization in fan-shaped body layer 2 (Dolan et al., 2019; Hulse et al., 2021). There are four of these neurons per hemisphere and they are glutamatergic (Dolan et al., 2019) and they develop from the CP2 neuroblast (Kandimalla et al., 2023).[ FlyBase:FBrf0242477 FlyBase:FBrf0249560 FlyBase:FBrf0254510 FlyBase:FBrf0257023 ] |
| Comment |
Hulse et al. (2021) say LHPV5k1 likely corresponds to FB2H_a, FB2H_b and/or FB2I_b, as does Schlegel et al. (2021) supplement. Schlegel et al. (2021) map this type to a different tract than other PV5 neurons, so PV5k1 name is misleading and this neuron is not part of the DL2 dorsal or DL1 dorsal hemilineage. All FB2I and FB2H mapped to CP2 lineage in Kandimalla et al. (2023). Dolan et al. (2019) say this is glutamatergic (based on immunohistochemistry), but Schlegel et al. (2021) predict cholinergic based on lineage. |
