| Definition | Glial cell of the adult central brain that lies along the surface of a tract (Kremer et al., 2017). These cells extend along the long axes of their tracts and have ragged ends, but together with their neighbors, they form a neatly contiguous sheath, completely surrounding the tracts (Kremer et al., 2017). Their nuclei are found in non-cortical regions deep within the brain and along the tracts they associate with (Kremer et al., 2017).[ FlyBase:FBrf0234767 ] | ||
