Term adult whisker subesophageal neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00051962 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult local neuron with its soma in the ventral gnathal ganglion (Sterne et al., 2021). It has both dendritic and axonal arborization in the gnathal ganglion, with biased synapse distribution within this region (Sterne et al., 2021). Its primary neurite crosses the midline in the ventral subesophageal zone and it has diffuse contralateral arborization, with a few fibers crossing back to the ipsilateral side (Sterne et al., 2021).[ FlyBase:FBrf0251280 ]
