| Definition |
The posterior portion of each hypogynial valve, posterior to an imaginary line connecting the hypogynial long sensillum and the hypogynial mid-dorsal incision (McQueen et al., 2022). It is double-walled and carries on the outer wall a series of sensilla that are larger and less interspaced than those carried by the anterior lobe (McQueen et al., 2022). On the inner wall, there are three terminal, minute trichoid sensilla and one subterminal, long sensillum (McQueen et al., 2022). The outer wall is sclerotized, lobate, and harbors the posterodorsal pouch (McQueen et al., 2022).[ FlyBase:FBrf0253444 ] |
