ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00052133 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Adult medulla-tubercle (MeTu) neuron that receives input from R7 (and not R8) photoreceptors of the dorsal rim area (DRA) in the proximal part of medulla layer M6 (Kind et al, 2021). Its arbors span several columns, and may include columns outside of the DRA, though its non-DRA arbors are just proximal to M6, avoiding photoreceptor terminals (Kind et al., 2021). It has presynaptic sites in the small unit of the anterior optic tubercle, in a region distinct from the terminals of non-DRA MeTu neurons (Kind et al, 2021).[ FlyBase:FBrf0252485 FlyBase:FBrf0260534 ] |
