Term adult JO-in neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00052183 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult neuron that has a large cluster of dendrites in the antennal mechanosensory and motor center and a commissural projection in the superior brain (Guo et al., 2022). It receives substantial input from Johnston organ neurons and makes substantial inhibitory (glutamatergic) connections to DNg11 (Guo et al., 2022). There is one of these cells per hemisphere (Guo et al., 2022).[ FlyBase:FBrf0252837 ]
