It expresses Bursicon and Partner of Bursicon in addition to CCAP (Veverytsa and Allan, 2012) There is one of these cells in each A5-A7 hemineuromere (Veverytsa and Allan, 2012). It extends an axon to the periphery via a lateral nerve trunk (Veverytsa and Allan, 2012).
