ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00052658 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Optic glomerulus formed by the axon terminals of lobula columnar (LC) 22 neurons (Wu et al., 2016). It also houses the terminals of lobula plate-lobula columnar (LPLC) 4 neurons (Panser et al., 2016; Wu et al., 2016). It is found in the medial part of the posterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, posterior to LPLC1 but anterior to LC13 and LC20 (Wu et al., 2016). LC22 and LPLC4 axon terminals retain a rough anterior-posterior topography (Dombrovski et al., 2023).[ FlyBase:FBrf0233032 FlyBase:FBrf0234700 FlyBase:FBrf0255530 ] |
