Definition Large adult interneuron with its soma in the cell body rind region ventroposterior to the mesothoracic leg neuropil (Trimarchi and Murphey, 1997). It extends from the medial tuft formed by haltere afferent neurons in the ipsilateral ventral nerve cord to the neck or wing neuropil of the contralateral hemisphere (Trimarchi and Murphey, 1997).[ FlyBase:FBrf0093764 ]
