| Definition | Adult unilateral visual projection neuron that receives input in around 80 columns of lobula layer 6 and the accessory medulla (Nern et al., 2025). In the central brain it has pre- and post-synapses in the posterior lateral protocerebrum and also sends output to the superior clamp and superior lateral protocerebrum (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024).
