| Definition | Ventral longitudinal muscle of larval segment eight. There are four of these on each side (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1997). Along with the VA1 muscle, these follow a dorsoposterior course and insert at the base of posterior spiracle (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1997).
