ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00059107 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Tarsal retro depressor muscle that originates on the anterior side of the distal tibia (Soler et al., 2004; Azevedo et al., 2024). It is composed of 3 fibers (Soler et al., 2004).[ FlyBase:FBrf0180184 ] |
| Also Known As |
"anterior tarsal reductor muscle" ; "tarm2" ; "tarsal reductor muscle 2" |
| Comment |
Soler et al. (2004) say that fibers of these muscles do not attach to a tendon, this is corrected in Azevedo et al. (2024), who show that they insert on the tarsus depressor tendon - hence rename to tarsus retro depressor muscle. |
