Definition Motor neuron that innervates a basalar muscle of the haltere (Dickerson et al., 2019). There are two of these cells per hemisphere with somas in the ventrolateral metathoracic neuromere and arbors extending into the dorsal parts of all three ipsilateral hemineuromeres (Ehrhardt et al., 2023).[ FlyBase:FBrf0243782 ]
Comment Ehrhardt et al. (2023) were not able to distinguish which muscle(s) innervated by each of the two cells.
