Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or69a ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067034 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or69a (A and B transcripts) (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab9 and it responds to a range of pheromonal and plant matter olfactory stimuli (Benton et al., 2025). It innervates antennal lobe glomerulus D bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
