General Information
Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or82a ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067044 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or82a (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab5 and it responds to geranyl acetate (Benton et al., 2025). It innervates antennal lobe glomerulus VA6, bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It develops from an Nab precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
