General Information
Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or43a ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067048 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or43a (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal intermediate sensillum ai3 and it responds to indoles and alcohols (Benton et al., 2025). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It innervates the antennal lobe glomerulus DA4l bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019). It develops from an Naa precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
