Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or49b ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067061 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or49b (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab11 and it responds to methylphenols and indole (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus VA5, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
