adult mushroom body beta'' lobe |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00100251 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
A narrow division lying between the gamma and beta' lobes of the adult brain. Axons innervating the beta'' lobe have axons innervating the alpha' lobe front surface.[ FlyBase:FBrf0162233 FlyBase:FBrf0205263 ] |
| Also Known As |
"mushroom body beta'' lobe" |
| Comment |
Via Golgi impregnation and immunostaining, Strausfeld et al. (2003) identifies this highly taurine-immunopositive, aspartate-immunonegative band. However, Tanaka et al. (2008), using an enhancer trap screen, suggest that the neurons composing the alpha''/beta'' lobe should be regarded as a subpopulation of the alpha'/beta' anterior neurons. |
