Cell of the embryonic/larval midgut that expresses tachykinin (FBgn0037976). In the late third instar, tachykinin expressing cells in the midgut are located posteriorly, just anterior to the attachment of the Malpighian tubules and have a morphology consistent with an endocrine role.[ FlyBase:FBrf0130087 ] |
