General Information
Term octopaminergic AL2i1 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00110141 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Octopaminergic neuron of the AL2 cluster which innervates the ipsilateral medulla and lobula complex (Busch et al., 2009). Secondary processes branch off the neurite that projects from the posterior slope to the optic lobe and innervate the posterior lateral, posterior inferior medial and ventromedial protocerebra, and protocerebral bridge, forming varicose terminals (Busch et al., 2009).[ FlyBase:FBrf0207458 FlyBase:FBrf0240744 ]
Also Known As "ipsilateral octopaminergic neuron of the antennal lobe 1" ; "OA-AL2i1"
Comment The neurotransmitter was assessed by immunostaining with an anti-octopamine (OA) antibody in cells labelled with tdc2-GAL4 (FBti0101786) and NP7088-GAL4 (FBti0037217). Post- versus pre-synaptic innervation was determined using the postsynaptic marker Rdl-HA or the presynaptic marker Synaptotagmin-HA (Busch et al., 2009).
