| Term |
octopaminergic ASM neuron |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00110167 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Octopaminergic neuron of the ASM cluster, whose cell body is located in the anterior superior medial protocerebrum. This neuron sends a process to the posterior protocerebrum where it branches out. Three different subtypes can be distinguished based on their arborization patterns in the posterior protocerebrum: OA-ASM1, OA-ASM2 and OA-ASM3 (Busch et al., 2009).[ FlyBase:FBrf0207458 ] |
| Also Known As |
"anterior superior medial octopaminergic neuron" ; "OA-ASM" |
| Comment |
The neurotransmitter was assessed by immunostaining with an anti-octopamine (OA) antibody in cells labelled with tdc2-GAL4 (FBti0101786) (Busch et al., 2009). |
