General Information
Term adult fruitless dMS5 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00111101 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult fruitless neuron with its cell body located at the junction between the dorsal mesothoracic and metathoracic neuromeres, very close dMS4 (Yu et al., 2010). It projects medially towards the midline and turns anteriorly (Yu et al., 2010). Arborization is found in the mesothoracic neuromere (Yu et al., 2010). There is one of these cells per hemisphere and it is cholinergic (Lillvis et al., 2024).[ FlyBase:FBrf0211884 FlyBase:FBrf0258823 ]
