General Information
Term adult fruitless aSP10 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00111194 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult fruitless neuron with its cell body located dorsolateral to the ventrolateral protocerebrum (VLP) (Yu et al., 2010). Its neurite enters a tract below the anterior optic tubercle and branches, with one branch arborizing in the ipsilateral VLP and the other continuing medially and crossing the midline (Yu et al., 2010).[ FlyBase:FBrf0211884 ]
Also Known As "adult fruitless AL5b neuron" ; "fru-aSP10"
Comment Yu et al. (2010) map this to Kimura et al. (2008) - FBrf0205974 AL5b and Cachero et al. (2010) - FBrf0211926 aIP-c. aIP-c seems to correspond to two clusters - mapped to AL5b and AL6b by Cachero et al. (2010). Therefore, aSP10/AL5b, is probably a subtype of aIP-c.
