General Information
Term antennal grooming brain interneuron 2 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00111646 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Neuron whose cell body is located in the cell body rind lateral to the gnathal ganglion (Hampel et al., 2015). The primary neurite extends ventromedially to arborize broadly in the anterior antennal mechanosensory and motor center (AMMC) zones C and E, and less extensively in the subesophageal zone (SEZ), including the ventral region (Hampel et al., 2015). Some neurites cross the midline (Hampel et al., 2015). There are several of these neurons in each hemisphere (Shiu et al., 2024).[ FlyBase:FBrf0229838 FlyBase:FBrf0260565 ]
