General Information
Term adult CB0991 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:20004678 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult interneuron with its soma in the subesophageal zone and pre- and post-synapses bilaterally in the flange and superior medial protocerebrum (Gonzalez Segarra et al., 2023; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024). It is a putative embryonic-born neuron (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024) and it is predicted to be cholinergic (Eckstein et al., 2024). There are four of these cells per brain (Gonzalez Segarra et al., 2023). They are involved in regulating water intake (Gonzalez Segarra et al., 2023).[ FlyBase:FBrf0257621 FlyBase:FBrf0259490 FlyBase:FBrf0260535 FlyBase:FBrf0260546 ]
Also Known As "adult CCHa2R-RA neuron"
Comment CB0991 from Schlegel et al. (2024) mapped to CCHa2R-RA based on annotations in FlyWire v783. Pre- and post-synapses are based on assertions in (Gonzalez Segarra et al., 2023) as well as data in FlyWire v783 (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024).
