Mutation induced by the transposable activity caused by Minos, a DNA transposable element. The minos element is 1.4 kilobases in length with 254 base pairs inverted terminal repeats. It specifically targets TA dinucleotides and generates a flanking duplication of 2 base pairs upon insertion.
