General Information
Term photoswitchable fluorescent protein ID (Ontology) FBcv:0005019 (FlyBase CV)
Definition A protein that can be reversibly switched between a non-fluorescent state and a fluorescent state, or between two different fluorescent states. The switch from one state to the other is triggered by irradiation with a pulse of light of a specific wavelength, and the switch back to the original state is triggered with a pulse of light of another specific wavelength.
