Apodeme that is part of the late embryo/larva. Apodemes are not a continuous structure, but are split into two halves. In the embryo, this break is visible laterally. In the larva, the dorsal and ventral halves in the thoracic and abdominal segments are staggered, with the dorsal part being posterior to the ventral one.[ FlyBase:FBrf0089570 ] |
