General Information
Term embryonic/larval lateral accessory lobe ID (Ontology) FBbt:00007067 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Larval synaptic neuropil domain that is located ventral to the mushroom body medial lobe and posterior to the antennal lobe and periesophageal neuropils (Hartenstein et al., 2015). It is the larval counterpart of the adult lateral accessory lobe (Pereanu et al., 2010).[ FlyBase:FBrf0155900 FlyBase:FBrf0211016 FlyBase:FBrf0229672 ]
Also Known As "baso-central synaptic neuropil domain" ; "basocentral compartment" ; "BC" (for all, see Synonyms field below)
Comment Note - description of relative location of brain structures in this definition is based on Younossi-Hartenstein et al., 2003 description of the first instar larval brain and Pereanu et al., 2010 third instar larval brain.
