General Information
Term larval subesophageal VUM neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00047750 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Ventral unpaired median cell that has a cell body in the larval subesophageal ganglion. These are octopaminergic cells, but unlike thoracic and abdominal VUM neurons, they are not motor neurons. Ascending sVUM neurons are found in the mandibular and maxillary neuromeres and descending neurons are found in the labial neuromere (Selcho et al., 2014).[ FlyBase:FBrf0225919 ]
