ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00052256 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Adult serotonergic neuron that has its soma in the lateral subesophageal zone ad responds to sugar stimuli from the proboscis (Yao and Scott, 2022). It has mixed presynaptic and postsynaptic terminals in both hemispheres of the subesophageal zone, spanning the midline (Yao and Scott, 2022). There is a heterogeneous population of three of these cells per hemisphere, and they all contribute to the regulation of sugar intake (Yao and Scott, 2022).[ FlyBase:FBrf0252961 ] |
