| Definition |
Immature neuron in the embryo that will become a larval lch5 neuron (Gonsior and Ismat, 2019). These cells are found in abdominal segments and they have a stereotypical teardrop morphology (Gonsior and Ismat, 2019). After embryonic stage 12, they rotate so that their previously ventral-facing dendrites point dorsal posteriorly (Gonsior and Ismat, 2019). This rotation is followed by a migration, along with the other lch5 precursor cells, from a dorsal position to the more lateral one seen in the larva (Gonsior and Ismat, 2019).[ FlyBase:FBrf0243863 ] |
