General Information
Term dorsal cervical muscle 22 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00058820 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Dorsal cervical muscle that connects to the cervical sclerite and extends dorsomedially to the pronotum (Miller, 1950; Strausfeld et al., 1987; Gorko et al., 2024). It is innervated by the DProN5 motor neuron (Gorko et al., 2024).[ FlyBase:FBrf0186027 FlyBase:FBrf0259326 ]
Also Known As "AD muscle" ; "neck adductor muscle"
Comment Based on dorsoventral orientation, attachment of ventral end to the cervical sclerite and mapping of muscle 21 to LEV, this seems to correspond to the AD muscle in Gorko et al. (2024).
