Term tarsal levator muscle ID (Ontology) FBbt:00058853 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult leg muscle located dorsally within the distal tibia, attaching to the proximal tarsus via the tarsal levator tendon (Soler et al., 2004). It flexes the tibia-tarsus joint, which lowers the fly's body when standing (Azevedo et al., 2024).
