Term prothoracic ventral eclosion muscle ID (Ontology) FBbt:00059037 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition A muscle of the prothorax that forms a broad attachment onto the lateral region of the sternal apodeme and extends towards the neck. It dies within 24 hours of eclosion and (probably) functions in the thoracic contractions that are part of eclosion behavior.[ FlyBase:FBrf0167817 ]
