neuroblast BAmas2 |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00100556 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Neuroblast that delaminates in early embryonic stage 10 and belongs to the dorsal group of tritocerebral neuroblasts in the embryo (Urbach et al., 2003; Urbach et al., 2016). It displays serial homology to NB3-5 (Urbach et al., 2016). It generates a basoanterior secondary lineage that enters the neuropil ventromedial to the antennal lobe in the late larval brain (Pereanu and Hartenstein, 2006; Lovick et al., 2013). Its primary and secondary lineages follow the median bundle (Wong et al., 2013; Hartenstein et al., 2015). In the adult, its lineage is sexually-dimorphic, with prominent proximal neurite elaboration in the flange (Yu et al., 2013).[ FlyBase:FBrf0161019 FlyBase:FBrf0161021 FlyBase:FBrf0194268 FlyBase:FBrf0208824 FlyBase:FBrf0221412 FlyBase:FBrf0223298 FlyBase:FBrf0223329 FlyBase:FBrf0229672 FlyBase:FBrf0232096 ] |
| Also Known As |
"neuroblast BAmas2" ; "neuroblast FLAa3" ; "neuroblast Td6" |
| Comment |
Kumar et al. (2009) say that BAmas2 is the only tritocerebral neuroblast expressing ems, making it equivalent to Td6 (Urbach and Technau, 2003). |
