Term medulla non-directional M6 local neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00111067 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Local neuron that is restricted to layer 6 of the medulla. Its soma is in the ventral or dorsal regions of the lateral cell body rind. In contrast to directional M6 local neurons, dendrites and axon terminals are not segregated, and overlap. Thirteen subtypes are recognized, that differ in their location and column coverage.[ FlyBase:FBrf0226257 ]
