ID (Ontology) |

| Definition |
Surface-associated, channel glial cell that lies at the dorsal-end of the channel above the neuropil. The cells send processes ventrally along the channel, while receiving processes from the A-SPG cells. There are two dorsal channel glial cells per hemisegment and their processes form, along with processes from the ventral channel glia, a sheath structure that covers the inner surface of the dorsoventral channel. It develops from neuroblast NB7-4 (Beckervordersandforth et al., 2008).[ FlyBase:FBrf0082171 FlyBase:FBrf0205499 FlyBase:FBrf0214261 ] |
