Term larval CLPN neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00053378 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Larval central brain neuron with a small axonal arborization region in the medial contralateral brain hemisphere, a widespread medial ipsilateral dendritic region, and a smaller dendritic arborization area in the subesophageal zone (Zhao et al., 2019). It is involved in head casting behavior during light avoidance (Zhao et al., 2019). There is one of these cells per hemisphere (Zhao et al., 2019).[ FlyBase:FBrf0241166 ]
