Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or71a ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067041 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or71a (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from maxillary palp basiconic sensillum pb1 and it responds to ethylphenols (Benton et al., 2025). It innervates antennal lobe glomerulus VC2, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
