Term adult olfactory receptor neuron Or46aA ID (Ontology) FBbt:00067052 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or46aA and has its sensory dendrite in maxillary palp basiconic sensillum pb2 (Benton et al., 2025). It responds to phenol and methylphenols (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus VA7l, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It develops from an Nab precursor (Benton et al., 2025).
