      Egg chambers containing cacahuete48.1 mutant germline clones contain the usual 15 nurse cells, but have a tiny oocyte compared to controls, giving the egg chamber a lozenge shape. The oocyte is determined and polarised correctly. Ring canals are present, but appear smaller than in wild type.
