A synthetic mutant tRNA[[i]][Met] that can not be not be conjugated with a threonyl-carbamoyl moiety at position 37 to become N6-threonylcarbamoyl-adenosine. Carries nucleotide substitution A[37]G. Contains the transcriptional regulatory sequences, as well as the 5' and 3' regions of endogenous tRNA:iMet-CAT-1-3.

      Animals homozygous for a tRNA:M-i:61DA37G insertion display smaller wings than wild-type. Counting the wing hairs in an area show that wings of transgenic animals have more cells per unit of area, indicating that transgenic wings are composed of smaller cells than wild-type animals
