S81 serine isopeptidases belong to MEROPS family S81, which contains the bifunctional enzyme 'destabilase' found in invertebrates. Destabilase has two active sites each with a different catalytic activity, that of a lysozyme and that of an isopeptidase. (Adapted from FBrf0239469.)
