GRAB (GST pull-down and RNA affinity binding) was used to identify components of the Sxl-msl-2 mRNP complex. GST-Sxl and biotinylated msl-2 RNA were mixed with embryonic extract. mRNP complexes were purified by GST-glutathione, then by biotin-streptavidin affinity steps.
