Description

Deletion of 8.5kb including the whole su(f) locus and 1.5kb of repeated DNA flanking the gene.

su(f) and the proximal copy of anon-k is deleted leaving the distal copy of anon-k.

Deletion of entire su(f) region between the two 1.5kb repeats that flank the gene. Structure is essentially identical to that of su(f)414.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

su(f)12/su(f)19 females shifted to the restrictive temperature as embryos die as first instar larvae. The number of metaphase mitotic figures in the brains of su(f)12/su(f)19 third instar larvae shifted to 29oC for 4 to 14 hours is double that of wild type.

Comments

su(f)19, su(f)16-185, su(f)28, su(f)27, su(f)25 and su(f)3 exhibit the same pattern of complementation; fail to complement any su(f) allele. The allelic state of z has no effect on complementation behaviour.
