Expression of baf3A.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in severe condensation defects and amorphous or undercondensed chromosomes in mature oocytes.

Expression of baf3A.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4167Y results in chromosome condensation defects (undercondensed chromosomes) in mitotic cells in the central nervous system, the frequency of mitotic cells (phospho-histone H3-positive) is significantly increased compared to wild-type.

Expression of baf3A.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 disrupts karyosome morphology in the oocyte; the karyosome often loses its spherical shape and becomes more extended, and the chromosomes often form extensive contact with the nuclear envelope.
