Detailed Description
Statement

X11L80 mutants are viable and adults are wild-type in appearance.

X11L80 mutant mushroom body lobes exhibit mislocalised multiple axonal membrane proteins and lobe structural defects. The dorsal lobe is aberrantly formed, causing it to be severely truncated. In addition, the medial lobe appears frayed and misshapen, indicating abnormal axon development.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Pan-neuronal silencing of X11LβdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, in a X11L80 homozygous background results in early to mid-third instar larval lethality.

A AP-2α06694 homozygous mutant background enhances the dendritic mislocalisation of axonal membrane proteins and structural defects in the mushroom body of X11L80 mutants.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Expression of Hsap\APBA2Scer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, partially rescues the axonal membrane protein mislocalisation and structural defects seen in the mushroom body of X11L80 mutants.

Comments

Expression of X11LScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, partially rescues the axonal membrane protein mislocalisation and structural defects seen in the mushroom body of X11L80 mutants.
