Genes CG12478 and CG10046 should be merged.
Comments: The predicted protein sequence for CG124778 encodes the middle part
of an RNA-binding protein in the Bruno/CUGBP/Etr family (ie U16800). The
predicted protein sequence for CG10046, immediately downstream, encodes the
carboxy terminal half of this protein. The amino terminal domain for this
protein is still missing from the genomic sequence. The intron/exon
boundaries and protein sequence similarities to the human genes strongly
support this relationship (p. good, data not shown).
